Meet the Artist

COLORADO WEDDING FILMMAKER & Documentarian

The Documentarian’s Eye

I don’t direct the moment. I anticipate it.

Hi, I’m Tatiana. I am the filmmaker and lead creative behind Voir by Tatiana. For me, weddings are not about trends or perfect performances. They are about emotion, connection, family, and the feeling of having everyone you love together in one place. My approach is rooted in documentary storytelling, capturing your wedding day honestly while paying attention to the small moments, emotions, and energy that make your story feel real and deeply personal.

  • The Professional Difference.

My approach is grounded in a Film Production degree and a filmmaking career that began in 2016. In addition to weddings, I work professionally as a Preditor for STARZ, where I learned the importance of storytelling, pacing, sound, color, and technical precision. That experience shaped the way I approach every wedding film I create. I believe a meaningful film is not only about beautiful visuals, but about creating something that feels immersive, emotional, and timeless years later. I pay close attention to the details that often go unnoticed because I want your film to feel polished, intentional, and deeply personal every time you return to it.

  • Cinematic Flow & Narrative Depth.

My style is a blend of documentary observation and gentle guidance. I work closely with your photographer to create natural movement and real moments without making anything feel forced. I will guide you into good light, natural motion, and genuine connection so your film feels honest, emotional, and true to who you are.

  • The Power of the Spoken Word.

For me, a wedding film is about more than beautiful visuals. It is about preserving the feeling, emotion, and energy of your day in a way that feels real to you. That is why I pay close attention to audio, vows, speeches, and the small in-between moments that often become the most meaningful over time. I also love incorporating short and natural conversations with my couples because hearing your voices and your story adds a deeper emotional connection to the film. You will notice that my collections begin at a minimum of 8 minutes. That is intentional. Through my experience, I have found that shorter films often do not leave enough room for the story, emotion, and important moments to fully breathe. I want your wedding film to feel immersive, personal, and complete so that years from now, you can return to it and relive the moment all over again.

My Recommendation: While 8 minutes is my standard collection, I highly recommend the 12-minute collection for couples who want a deeper and more complete storytelling experience.

The Vision

As a working professional in the wedding industry, I navigate events of all sizes and budgets. I understand that large, national agencies serve a purpose: they provide affordable coverage for couples who simply need a record of the day.

However, I built Voir by Tatiana for the couples who want more than just “coverage.”

The Reality of the Volume Model I have freelanced for many major wedding production companies, and I have seen firsthand how the “assembly line” operates. Their business model relies on volume—booking thousands of dates to generate revenue. In that environment, the goal is efficiency, not artistry. I have watched unique, intimate moments get lost in bulk-editing centers because the process is designed for speed, not sentiment.

The Voir Distinction: Art Over Algorithms I refuse to treat your wedding like a statistic.

  • A Boutique Experience: I am not a production machine. I strictly limit the number of cinematic wedding films I commission each year. This isn’t about scaling up to make millions; it’s about slowing down to create something intimate.

  • Uncompromised Quality: I personally oversee the entire post-production workflow. Whether I am editing the film myself or directing a specialized video editor, I ensure that the narrative depth and technical standards meet my vision.

If you are looking for a standard video package, the big agencies are there for you. But if you are looking to invest in a handcrafted heirloom that honors the true weight of your connection, then you belong here.

the voir couple

My work is not just about operating a camera; it is about holding space for your memories. Because I approach every wedding as a custom cinematic production, I cannot serve every couple. My studio is a sanctuary for those who view their wedding film not as “content,” but as a family heirloom.

We are a perfect match if this resonates with you:

  • You seek the “Real” over the “Perfect.” You are the couple who embraces the unscripted nature of life. You understand that the most beautiful moments in candid wedding cinematography often happen in the imperfections. You are willing to let the wind mess up your hair, let the rain catch the hem of your dress, or let a tear fall without wiping it away. You prioritize being present in the moment over posing for it. You trust me to capture the raw, organic beauty of your day without interrupting the flow of your experience.
  • You value Sound as the Soul of Cinema. You believe, as I do, that a film is nothing without its heartbeat. You understand that the tremble in a voice during vows, the deep breath before a first look, or the laughter of a grandparent during a toast are just as powerful as the visuals. You are commissioning a narrative filmmaker because you want those voices preserved forever—woven into a story that brings you back to exactly how it felt, not just how it looked.
  • You are investing in a Legacy, not a Trend. We live in a world of fast content, but you are looking for something timeless. You aren’t interested in a 60-second clip designed for an algorithm; you want a feature-length film that allows your story to breathe. You understand that true storytelling requires time and patience. You are ready to invest in a handcrafted heirloom that will sit on the shelf next to your parents’ photo albums, ready to be watched by generations who haven’t even been born yet.
  • You trust the Artist completely. You are not hiring a vendor to check a box; you are commissioning a creative partner. You value my background as a professional Preditor and my experience in high-end broadcast television. Because of this trust, you are willing to let go of the “shot list” and the Pinterest boards. You give me the creative freedom to observe with intensity, allowing me to find the quiet, fleeting miracles that you didn’t even know were happening.

Off duty

The human behind the camera.

The Roots : I was born in Panama at 3:00 AM. I carry that energy with me—I’m a morning person, but I can pull the late-night shift when the edit demands it. My friends describe me as honest and truthful, and that is exactly how I approach my art. No filters, just the real story.

My World: When I put the camera down, my focus shifts to my own family. I am a wife, a dog mom, and currently preparing for my biggest role yet: mother to a baby girl. My love language is Physical Touch, which translates directly into my work. I understand the power of a hand on a shoulder or a quiet embrace, and I know how to capture those moments because they are the ones I value most in my own life.

How I Recharge: I’m not about complicated luxuries. My peace comes from a clean house, the scent of burning incense, and a good beer with friends after a long hike. Whether I’m reading a book on the beach or dancing at a pool party, I believe in living a full, vibrant life so I can bring that energy back to your film.

Chasing time: I cry at almost every wedding—especially when I see grandparents. I lost my Great-Grandmother when I was five, and I never got to say goodbye. I know that life is ephemeral. We are here today, and maybe not tomorrow. I film because I want you to have what I wish I had: a way to hit pause on time and keep the people you love with you forever.

Your wedding day passes quickly, but film allows you to return to it years later and relive the emotion, the voices, the laughter, and the people who shared that moment with you. As time passes, these memories become even more meaningful. My goal is not only to capture how your wedding looked, but how it truly felt.
